Structure

This organization is named as “Northern New York Section Younger Chemists Committee” (NNY-YCC). NNY-YCC is affiliated to the Northern New York (NNY) Local Section of the American Chemical Society (ACS) and it represents the young and early career chemist under the umbrella of NNY ACS Local Section; as shown as in this hierarchy.

Our  Objectives

NNY-YCC aims to:

1. Connect young chemists in the region, address their needs in their professional progress, and enable them to be future leaders in their profession. 

2. NNY-YCC will provide opportunities and the tools for professional development such as organizing scientific symposiums, industrial tours, and career fairs. 

3. NNY-YCC aims to increase awareness and enhance public outreach activities in the region.  

4. NNY-YCC will facilitate networking among senior and young chemists via the previously mentioned activities and through socials.
